My Story
Why I joined the IT industry
I’ve always been fascinated by computers and technology. To me, it felt like opening a treasure chest full of creativity and ideas. I was amazed that something as simple as a line of code could bring an idea to life. That passion led me into the IT world.
As I went through school and started my career, I realised I not only enjoyed solving tech problems, but also loved helping others understand technology. I wanted to make it easier and more fun for everyone.
Over the years, this belief – that technology should connect people to their goals, not stand in the way – has only grown stronger. With support from those around me and over 10 years of experience, here I am… still doing what I love!
Why was The Tech Llama founded?
Now that you know what sparked my interest in IT, I’d like to share why I started The Tech Llama.
I’ve spent over 10 years working in IT across both public and private sectors, helping hundreds (maybe even thousands) of people along the way. Many encouraged me to go out on my own, not just because of my tech skills, but because of how I connect with people. I’ve often been told I explain things clearly and never make others feel lost or intimidated… a quality that means a lot to me in an industry that can sometimes feel cold or complicated.
Still, I held back from starting my own business. I was afraid of failing, and I felt loyal to the places I worked. But in 2023, just before Christmas, I left my full-time job and took the plunge to officially launch The Tech Llama.
Now, in 2025, I’m still going strong, with the same passion, purpose, and drive to help others through technology in a way that feels simple, supportive, and human.

2023
The Birth of The Tech Llama
In 2023, The Tech Llama was officially launched, marking the beginning of a new era in tech support and web design. This year was all about laying the foundation and establishing our unique approach to technology.
2024
The First Re-Brand
With a growing client base and expanding services, 2024 saw our first re-brand. This transformation reflected my enhanced capabilities and commitment to delivering exceptional web design solutions.
2025
A New Horizon
2025 is the year I changed from, me, to us when I welcomed Emily to the team, Emily was recently nominated for the 30 under 30 award as an expert in digital marketing so is a very valuable addition to the team! and I looking forward to see what we achieve together this year!
2026
Expanding Our Reach
We have big plans for expansion, as we look to establish ourself further afield, with seeds being planted in the United States as we speak!
